Sima was born in Liberty, NY in 1947 to a very artistically inclined family.
From an early age, art was a great part of her life. She majored in art throughout all her school years leading her to studying in the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She graduated in 1967 and continued her training at the Art Student League where she is a Life Member.
Sima studied with William Draper, Everet Raymond Kintsler and Julian Levy, renown American artists.
In the 1970’s Sima moved to Israel where she continued to paint and share studio space with artist like David Gerstein and others.
After her marriage she moved to Toronto where she continued to develop her artistic talents as an artist, color consultant and later as an accomplished interior designer. Color, texture and balance have always been the 3 constant elements in all her work.
Sima has developed a passion for oil pastels as the medium for all of her artwork. She loves the texture and the feeling she is able to express in her paintings. Her Jewish upbringing and religious life have led her to develop an impressive collection of artwork that is hanging in the homes of collectors in the USA and Canada.
Her work is currently represented in Canada trough Art & Soul Fine Art.
